How You Can Hide Hair Loss

No woman wants to deal with losing her hair. Hair loss is embarrassing, especially if you have gorgeous long locks of hair that you really love. With some medications or health issues, however, hair loss can be inevitable. Fortunately, most of the time this hair loss is simply temporary and your own hair will grow back. While you’re waiting for that to happen, there are a few different techniques you can use to cover up the fact that you’ve lost some hair.

Wear a Wig

This is the solution most women immediately think of and it can work. However, if you’ve lost your hair for a short period of time, you may not want to spend money on a really good wig. Instead, you might look at those that appear to be bargains. However, this is often a case of you get what you pay for.

These wigs don’t always look good and you may find it difficult to get the hair to do what you want it to. This is especially true for wigs that are made from low-quality synthetic hair. This hair may not even look or feel like real human hair. Even wigs that are made out of human hair may not be quite what you want. You also have to make sure you maintain your wigs correctly. If you don’t, the hair will eventually start to look bad.

Get Hair Extensions

If you’ve lost some of your natural hair but still have enough to cover your head, you may actually only need extensions. This is often the case if you’ve had to cut out some of your hair for whatever reason. Again, you do want to make sure you’re using hair extensions that are made from human hair or from high-quality synthetic hair. These extensions can easily last for three months or more and an expert will know how to install them without using any glue or adhesive that could damage your natural hair. Extensions are one of the most popular women’s non-surgical hair loss solutions.

Consider a Unique Solution

There are a number of other unique solutions out there that can enhance your own hair without damaging it. These solutions help cover up your hair loss by working with the natural hair you have and adding in additional hair as needed. These options often work in cases where you simply don’t have enough hair to fully make use of extensions.

Some even work if you’ve lost all of your hair. For example, there’s one option that makes use of a flexible mesh cap that’s attached to your head using special surgical tape, not glue. Your own hair sticks through the mesh and then additional extensions can be carefully attached to the mesh to completely hide it.

This is done in such a way that it actually looks much more natural than a wig and no one will recognise the fact that your hair isn’t your own. Once your own hair grows out, you can have the mesh removed and go back to your own gorgeous style.
